On the way to Café-Coffee Day…

I was going to meet her after a long gap. And previous to that we had mutually agreed to go Café coffee day. Obviously was excited as I am going first time with a pretty girl. It was 05-30 pm as I decided to leave from my work place which is nearly 15 Kms from her work place. And I had to reach there by 6pm deadline. She always have the habit of scheduling time deadline whenever I go to meet her. Even though she never followed the deadline, but always expected me to be on time, and most of the times I did follow.

I left at 5.30pm on my Bajaj-CT100Dx bike ,which I love most even though some times it does not obey my order. Somehow I managed to reach her place by 5.55pm in a heavy traffic congestion. As usual I went to juice center which was our usual meeting place. I rang her and she told that she will be coming after 15mins. I was worried as, if she gets late then our plan to go to Café coffee day get cancel. So I kept my finger crossed and prayed for her arrival.

I have to wait for 15mins, so I took a juice for passing time. Waiting is one thing I hate most, even though everybody waits something every moment of their life. Child waits for her mother to feed, Students waits for their exam results, adults wait for the right partner and parents wait for their son to get job and daughter to get marry and even the saints wait for the incarnation. Typically everybody have to wait for the death subconsciously.

I had my juice and suddenly I saw an old man hardly able to walk, adamant, middle class, wearing a nice white kurta, white dhoti and Nehru topi. He was having an argument with an auto driver. I went close to him, and asked to auto driver the reason. Reason was very funny and understandable. That old man’s house is only 100mtrs from there. And he was refusing to give minimum charge of an auto as he believed in Gandhi values and scientific calculations too. Auto driver was asking Rs.12 and the old man was ready to pay max Rs.5. So, finally deal got cancelled. I thought of to give him the remaining Rs.12-5 but I realize that by this act it will affect old man’s self esteem. So, I stood still and was curious to see the old man’s next step. He decided to go walking alone to home, in an uncertain traffic. Finally I did not control myself ,went to the Old man and asked “Chacha….Do you want me to help you to cross the road??” and he gracefully accepted my request and I held his left hand firmly and even he did the same. Both of us were crossing the road in slowest speed like thick liquid fluid flowing from the tangential surface of the glass.

In the mean time, She rushed to juice center knowing that it was getting late to go Café Coffee Day. I saw her, and she was inspecting what all I am doing. She felt very touching after seeing the old man and me walking slowly in the speedy crowd. She stood still and watched till I get back to her, it nearly took 30 mins to cross the road with old man. Old man was truly delighted as he saved Rs.5 .…!!

I went back to her, and she had a mixed reactions, as it was 6.45pm, surely she was getting late, but still she was happy about the old man. I asked her, “are we going to Café coffee day or not?”….She answered…..”No way….its too late..!!..”

Once I dropped her she convinced me that she will come surely some other day. I was sad at that moment, but it was her smile and expression when I was helping the old man had made me to feel proud about myself and gave overwhelming experience than going to Café Coffee day…..!!

Note:
Cafe Coffee Day is the place where we will get all varieties of coffee. Cost is little higher, but who cares when you want to impress a girl. People even order different coffee even they did not like it. These are available at every corners of Banaglore.
